Settlement Worker Accreditation and Training


EMCN Employees who are interested in learning more about the "Settlement Worker Accreditation and Training" through Alberta Assocation for Immigrant Serving Agencies are invited to attend an Orientation Session on Friday, February 22 from 1 - 3:00 pm at HQ in Room 2 -4.

For staff pursuing Level 2 and 3 Accreditation, and have questions about the process, please attend as well. Please confirm your attendance by phoning 945 - 2289 or email: rzwicker@emcn.ab.ca for hand out purposes. See you there!

YOUCAN's (http://www.youcan.ca ) YouthQUAKE will offer youth training in cross cultural conflict resolution, facilitation and action planning. Three sessions are available: May 4 – 10; May 11 – 17; or May 18 – 24.

Each week is limited to 120 participants and 5 adult mentors (plus YOUCAN staff and trainers). Registration is $625 and includes dorm room accommodation, all meals and snacks, ground transportation, entrance fees and training. Some travel grants will be available on a first-come basis.


Registration deadline is March 21st, 2008 and information can be downloaded from www.youcan.ca.
