United Way Campaign – Update
Thank you EMCN staff for your support and generousity with the United Way Campaign. Over 65 staff made donations from $2 to $480. At this time close to $5000 was raised.

The United Way Speaker's Bureau was a big part of EMCN this year with staff giving over 50 presentations so far. Thank you to all of our speakers: Jim Gurnett, Helen Rusich, Bill Hallam, Phillip Deng and Suzanne Gross!

Mail at the 11713 – 82 Street Location
All mail should be in envelopes marked with the new address. If you have any envelopes with the previous address on them, please come to reception and get the new envelopes marked with the new address.
Mail to be sent out should be dropped off at the reception by 3:00 pm daily in order to be posted the same day. If any mail comes after 3:00 pm, it will be sent out in the next day’s mail.

Focus Groups for Immigrants Connected to Tourism
We are hosting a focus group for immigrants on Tuesday, December 9 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm in room 2 - 4 for immigrants who are connected to tourism. If they have any kind of experience with
- transportation; driving a taxis, own their own transportation business, drive a bus, work in the airline industry, train station, bus industry, etc.
- food and beverage industry; work at McDonald's, Tim Horton's, any bar, restaurant, own their own restaurant, bar, etc.
- Entertainment and Recreation; work at Rexall, Northlands, John Ducy Park, bowling alley, golf course, sports centre, involved in arts, theatre, music, etc.
- Hospitality - Work at the Convention Centre, or any conference centre, etc.
- Accommodation - work in a hotel, motel, bed and breakfast, etc.
They will be asked questions and will receive a nice gift for participating.

World Vision Gift Catalogue
The 2008 World Vision Gift Catalogue has arrived, filled with meaningful gifts that can change the world!
The Gift Catalogue is special because it includes gifts such as livestock, clean water, food, health care, and more than 50 other unique items that help children and families in need.
What to do: Drop by reception at headquarters and talk to Kim, and look through a gift catalogue. Choose a gift that you would like to purchase for a friend, family member or yourself for Christmas. During December, World Vision will make the necessary arrangements to get your purchased gift to a child or family in need. On Christmas morning, two people will be blessed by your generosity - your honoree and the needy recipient.
Over 50 possible items include:
- Two mosquito nets to protect eight people $30
- Stock a medical clinic (gift amount multiplies 14 times)
- One plump piglet $40
- Supply a classroom with books and school supplies $50
- Ten fruit trees $60
- Warm clothes for twenty five children and families $35
- Two laying hens and a rooster $55
Remember, all gifts must be purchased by December 15th in order to reach those in need by Christmas morning.
